We have carried out extensive research to develop a smart cushion prototype system.

The smart cushion, is a very promising device in the context of sitting postures monitoring because it is non-invasive and can be conveniently deployed on the seat or backrest, making an ordinary chair, wheelchair, sofa, or even a car seat suddenly smart.

We have developed very diversified applications based on the smart cushion, spanning from medical applications (e.g., back pain or pressure ulcers avoidance), to safety use of manually operated wheelchairs, and even in the context of psychological assessment by means of body language detection.
